1. "The phone rings but there is no sound/I can hear the person, but they cannot hear me/ I cannot hear the person but they can hear me." Back to top
If this is on all calls:

1. With the dialer open, click on settings and verify that you are able to record and hear sound with the Audio Tuning Wizard. If Ok proceed to 2.

2. Verify that no other sound programs are running. Examples are Winamp, Real Player, Skype or other PC to Phone software.

3. If you are behind a firewall, verify that UDP Port 1805-1806 is open in both directions.

If this is only on calls to one destination, contact support with the dialed number at support@pccall.com
2. "Audio sounds choppy or gets cut off" Back to top
If you are experiencing audio problems such as broken or fast speech (among others), it could be a problem with your internet connection or a problem with your computer. To optimize your audio, you can try the following:

1. Do not browse the web or use other applications when using PCCall.

2. Purchase a noise cancelling headset.

3. Upgrade your internet connection or change your ISP.

4. Upgrade your computer.

3. "The person I am calling complains that of hearing an echo" Back to top
The best way to solve this issue is to purchase a noise-canceling headset.
4. "There is a delay when speaking" Back to top
This is due to congestion on your internet connection. You can try another ISP or during off peak internet usage times (varies depending on your ISP).
